How much tea tree oil should you add to shampoo for lice?

have lice

A few months ago, my son came home from school with his lice. It is so awful!

Since I didn’t have lice-killing shampoo available, I started searching for alternatives online and I found the best one, mixing tea tree oil into shampoo.

This idea convinced me because they are the two things that I have at home.

I have not yet started to solve it when a question arises: how many drops of tea tree oil should you add to your shampoo to kill lice? Is it the same if I add 10 drops and a half bottle of oil?

Well, now I will tell you what I did and later I will tell you the results I got.

What I have done is add 3 drops of tea tree oil for every 30 mL of shampoo. Then I left the mixture on my son’s head for half an hour.

Would you like to know what results we got?

Do you want to know if we can finally get rid of that terrible ice?

Now, I will tell you.

But first, let me tell you the very important details for this tea cure to give you results:

  • The exact amount of tea tree oil you should pour into your shampoo
  • How long you should leave the mixture on your hair for how long it will take effect
  • Which shampoo is best for the best effect?

The horror of all mothers: lice

rate to kill lice

When Pablito came home from school and kept scratching his head , my mother’s warning rang.

All mothers have to deal with the problem of lice at least once in their lives, but since I have not experienced it, I certainly did not prepare.

When I found a viable solution with tea tree oil, I started fighting off nasty intruders in my son’s hair.

  • At the time of preparing the mixture, I wasn’t sure how much oil I would use, so I added 10 drops to my son’s shampoo bottle, which was practically new and I shook it well.
  • Since I have read that tea tree oil is quite strong and should not be used alone as well as directly on the scalp, it seems like a sufficient amount.
  • With this mixture, I washed my son’s hair as usual, hoping to get rid of those mistakes as soon as possible.

To my surprise, the results were not what I expected.

The history I used was terrible, but that was not the only mistake I made.
My measurements are also bad.

What is the exact amount of tea tree oil that you should use in your shampoo?

That afternoon, I called my mother to tell me what had happened. When you first became a mother, there was no better Google than our mother, am I right?

To my surprise, my mother has used this remedy before. Yes, on my head when I was a kid, so she knows the exact measurement for killing lice.

After explaining to me that 10 drops was not enough for the amount of shampoo I used, she gave me one of the most important information.

Her exact words were, “That’s 3 drops of tea tree oil for every 30mL of shampoo.”

We have now solved our biggest dilemma. We know how much oil to mix and how much shampoos to mix. We will start with goals.

  • 3 drops of tea tree oil
  • 30mL shampoo

If you don’t have a weight on hand, don’t worry, 30mL of shampoo more or less than you would normally use to wash your hair completely.

It seems we have everything we need, but one aspect we need to keep in mind so that our infallible remedy still gets rid of us: You can use any type Which shampoo?

What is the best shampoo for the best effect?

Now, there is another little detail that marks the difference if you finally want to get rid of lice. You shouldn’t just use any shampoo for this mixture. That’s what I found out from the recommendation of a mother to a friend of my son.

When we heard that you should mix your shampoo with tea tree oil, we were not careful about which shampoo to use, because we immediately though in the shampoo we normally use. use.

If the shampoo you use has no odor or no artificial colorants, it’s the perfect blend. If not, it’s best to get one.

For our lice remedy, what we were looking for is a substance that we can use to mix tea tree oil so that you don’t apply it directly to the scalp.

It should be a cleansing agent, but that doesn’t detract from the properties of tea tree oil. Shampoos with a strong smell or color will be counterproductive.

It’s not difficult to find a shampoo that has neither odor nor artificial colorants. Neutral or 100% natural and ecological shampoo is your best choice.

When it comes to tea tree oil, it’s important to use good quality. I’ve always had one in my house that is a brand of Art Naturals. I recommend it to you with my eyes.

Very well, now that you know the correct measurements and shampoo to prepare the mixture.

The most important part was left.

Apply the mixture again on my son’s head to see if it works.

How much time should you leave the mixture in your hair for it to work?

I already knew that washing my hair the way I normally wash is not correct, so after preparing the mixture, I started to learn how to properly apply it to repel lice.

  • After you apply the shampoo-tea-essential oil mixture, massage your scalp and cover with a shower cap for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, rinse your hair, brush it with a regular comb and then use a special lice comb two or three times for each section.

Result: Can we get rid of lice?

Now, we will move on to the most important part. Have I got rid of the lice from my son’s hair? Does this remedy work against lice?

  • Tea tree oil has a wonderful effect. After applying the mixture properly, I was able to finish off Pablito’s lice problem.
  • Then what I did was take them out with the help of a special comb for lice and nits (the infallible metal).
  • I repeat this procedure three days in a row on my son’s head to make sure there are no lice or nits left.
  • And I keep using this remedy at least once a month to stop them coming back, since tea tree oil not only kills lice but keeps them away.

This alternative method to get rid of lice is a great option, is easy to find and easy to apply, and it uses no pesticides.

Having lice is very annoying, so the faster you get rid of them the better. I hope that my experience has helped resolve some of your doubts.

This is the story of a mother’s fight against lice. If I can do it, you can win too.

Is there a way to remove keratin from hair fast? How long does it take?

not satisfied with the results

Did you go for keratin treatment and you feel it is not really what you expected?

Do you want to remove it quickly?

I have bad news for you, but please, don’t kill the messenger.

There is no quick way to remove keratin from hair. And quickly, I mean, you can’t get rid of it for a few hours, not even days. With a lot of luck, you can finally say goodbye to it after four weeks.

But despite all the bad things, I have a few good things to tell. After all, in life hitting hands and then blooming again.

I can tell you a few tricks to speed up the process of product removal from hair faster.

Do you want me to tell you?

I will do it.

But first, let me tell you how I learned these little tricks.

Two months ago, my sister, Mariana, and I decided to get a keratosis treatment.

My intention, more than anything, is to return to my hair the natural shine and moisture that, with too many times being flat, has left.

My sister follows the lifelong dream of a straight-haired girl happy forever, that is, she wants to get rid of her beautiful curls.

Of course, I think they are very beautiful, but to her, they are a curse to her existence.

When I left the salon, I was a completely happy person. My hair doesn’t curl, and when I touch it, it barely leaves a mark, it feels as smooth as a baby’s skin.

However, the bell of glory did not ring for my sister. As soon as we got home, she cried like a Magdalena, it seems she was being beaten.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing or what I was hearing, but between tears, blowing my nose and sniffing, I could get a grasp of what’s going on.

She doesn’t look good with straight hairstyles. She feels that her nature is gone, and wants to return to her curls. Can you believe it?

I couldn’t believe what my ears were hearing, but I couldn’t bear to see my sister in that state of depression.

After all, the calmest person also turned tigers when her sister had problems. And there I was, all tired of claws ready to be removed, even when it had broken chunks, the horns from my heartbreaking sister’s hair.

Would you like to know our secret plan to banish that cursed protein from my sister’s hair?

So keep reading, as today I’m going to tell you:

  • Why can’t you get rid of keratin from your hair quickly
  • 4 tips to get rid of keratin from your hair in less than a month

Are you ready to get a smile back on your face?

I can assure you that despite taking a month, nee-san is getting better.

Why can’t you get rid of keratin from your hair so quickly

Let’s start from scratch. Keratin is a protein that we naturally have in our bodies and hair, and for various reasons, such as climatic conditions, it fades away bit by bit.

This treatment is applied to the hair to restore the protein lost in the hair, in addition, it has the ability to remove frizz and soften every strand of your hair.

Traditional keratin treatments are aimed at straightening the hair and often imply a formaldehyde release solution.

That’s why, the stylist incubated my sister’s hair with this product for 20 minutes. During that time, the horny substance covered the cuticles in nee-san’s hair like an armor which then methodically flattened it.

This process is designed to keep the product in your hair for at least three months. It’s that simple. It is not an intensive mask that you can apply and remove whenever you want.

We are talking about chemical products that in some way are supposed to modify, even if it’s on the outside, the structure of the hair.

As I explained all this to my sister, I once again burst into a sea of tears. Oh man, I never thought a woman could cry so much!

But she calmed down when I told her we could do a couple of things to get rid of the keratin completely in a month.

The good thing about our plan was that as the days went by, with each procedure we used, my sister was gradually getting her curls to her liking.

Right now, I will tell you exactly what we did.

4 tips to remove keratin from hair in less than 1 month

Have you ever heard the saying, “keeping your friend closer and your enemy closer?”

That’s exactly what we, my sister, Mariana and I, did, we got close to keratin to beat it.

What am I trying to say with this?

We did the exact opposite of what the stylist asked us to do to prolong the effect of the product on her hair.

Let the war begin!

  • Do not avoid water getting into hair.

Furthermore, if you can, turn into The Little Mermaid Ariel as soon as you finish your treatment.

Wet it, wetting it, and wetting it, because by doing so, you stop the keratin from working in the inner part of the epidermis.

If it rains, go outside without an umbrella. Sign up for swimming classes.

Do you have a chance to enjoy a few days at the beach? Go ahead, enjoy sinking your head in the waves as much as you can.

In addition to jokes, wash your hair as much as possible .

  • Physical activity.

Personally, I signed up for my sister for a speed spinning class. Every day, one hour, ride a bike. Her scalp was definitely sweaty.

And with each evaporation drop, the keratin is markedly affected.

Of course, after a month, my sister started to develop a strange phobia with stationary bikes. You can imagine why.

  • Try out different hairstyles from day one after treatment.

You can braid it, pull it up into a ponytail, use different types of bows and even clips . The more you process your hair, the more you prevent the keratin from entering and being in it.

  • Loves sulfate-containing shampoos.

I never thought I’d say anything like that, but to get rid of a shampoo containing keratin sulfate is your new best friend.

Because sulfates are no less no less than hair removal products. Of course, don’t overdo it, because if you do, in addition to removing the keratin, you will strip your hair, making it drier than a straw broom.

My sister washed her hair with these shampoos at least three times a week.

She replaces it with products with a high alcohol content, like curling mousse and high-salt shampoos, as they have abrasives that dissolve and remove keratin from your hair.

After a month of following all these steps, my sister was finally gone.

And she has regained her happiness, curls and nature.

What did I get from all of this?

First, before doing any treatment, evaluate if it’s really what you want.

Accept your spontaneity, wild like curls or straight like a serene sea.

And finally, when it comes to helping a sister, don’t you think?

Do you know other ways to remove keratin from your hair?

How long does rice water take to make hair grow?

her hair grows 4 cm in three months

For three months, I used rice water to grow my hair. During this time, I can prove that my hair has grown 4 and a half centimeters, so I’m happy with the results.

Today I want to tell you how you can also get the same results.

Yes, just like you read it.

You can also speed up hair growth and have a desired mane.

But please pay attention!

If you want your hair to grow, it is important that you use rice broth as I will explain to you here. If not, the only thing you will do is waste your precious time.

That is why, I will tell you:

  • The optimal recipe for rice washing water
  • How to use water properly for the best effect.
  • 5 amazing benefits you will get from using this rice rinse recipe.

The final rice water recipe

speed up hair growth

I was a bit skeptical when people started telling me about homemade recipes, but once I heard a comment on how great a rice water is, I decided to give it a try.

Mainly because I am regretting a haircut I did and I want my hair to grow as fast as possible .

Before taking the leap and trying rice broth, I did a lot of research and I found that what makes this homemade recipe so powerful is inositol.

Inositol is a carbs that repair hair and give hair excellent properties such as durability and elasticity.

However, while researching, I discovered a problem: the Internet offers many different ways to take the remedy.

Is there any guarantee that they all work?

Not one.

So I took the time to try them out.

I have tried fermented rice broth, rice broth, rice broth … I experimented with different processes that surprised me with the results.

Here is my last recipe, my “secret recipe.”

What do you need?

  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 cup of rice

How is it prepared?

  • Rinse rice thoroughly with water to remove dirt.
  • Boil cup of rice in four cups of water.
  • When the rice is soft, the water is ready to wash your rice.
  • Strain the water and let it cool for half an hour.

All right, now that you have water, it’s time to apply it to your hair.

But you should apply it correctly, because otherwise, all the work you have done won’t serve anything.

How you should use the water to wash the rice in order for it to work

  • First, you should wet your hair with rice water, especially the scalp area and massage for 5 minutes.
  • This step targets the follicles, helping to stimulate growth and strengthen hair.
  • After five minutes, wash your hair with the shampoo you prefer. When washing off the shampoo, use the rest of the water to rinse the rice from the center of your hair to the ends and leave for half an hour. Then rinse with natural water.
  • The final step is to target your hair strands, which will give your mane elastic, soft, and lustrous.

Many people do not recommend using shampoo or rice broth, thinking that this homemade method loses its properties.

But inositol is constantly working. What does it mean? That means even after rinsing the hair, inositol still works.

I recommend using shampoo after the first step to avoid the appearance of dandruff and I rinse it off after the last step so that the hair does not become frizzy and hard.

Like I said, I have tried many different uses of rice broth and this one gave me the best results, that’s why I want to share it with you so that you don’t waste your time.

I use rice water once a week, but you can use it twice a week if that looks better. And don’t waste leftover rice. I make rice cakes!

5 amazing benefits of washing-up water

for a short time

As I told you, the active ingredient in rice broth is inositol. This carbon hydrate offers the following benefits to your hair.

  • Elasticities

Elasticity refers to how hair works, that is, the ability of your hair to stretch without breaking and return to its natural state.

That is why, the water that rinses the rice will help you to return your hair. If your hair is straight , it will be more straight. Conversely, if your hair is curly, it will become more frilly.

  • It helps to reduce friction.

With rice water, you will get softer hair, while at the same time preventing friction between hairs.

Without friction, your hair won’t get tangled and therefore, it won’t break.

If you stop your hair from falling out, you will notice how much hair grows.

A lot of times, we think our hair is not growing and what’s going on is it’s broken in half.

  • Power

Inositol not only restores hair fibers, but also strengthens follicles. Your new hair will be stronger and thicker.

  • Soft and shining

The most amazing thing about the rice broth is that you will see the changes the first time you use it.

Obviously, you will not notice their hair how development until after a month, but there is a benefit that you will notice right from the first topical: the hair of you will be super soft and shiny .

  • Longer hair

With stronger, more elastic, and firmer hair with less friction, an increase in hair growth occurs on its own. Don’t forget to massage your scalp while the water rinsing the rice will help your hair grow faster.

Conclude

Remember that each body is different, so the water that rinses up the rice can have different effects on you. Your hair may grow a little more or a little bit more of my tanned hair.

You should also be realistic. If you decide to use rice broth because you see a community in China using it and their hair is one and a half meters long, I hate you will blow your bubbles.

Chinese women’s hair grows faster not only because they use rice water, but because their lifestyles are healthier than ours in many ways.

So if your goal is to have 10 cm longer hair in a month, I doubt you will get there. But if you want your hair to grow a meter long, you will use the water to wash the rice from time to time and regularly.

As I told you, I am delighted with the results. Not only was it fun but also surprising because it exceeded my expectations.

Are you eager to get hair like Rapunzel? Don’t wait too long, and let us know your results.

How to get the formaldehyde smell out of your hair after a straightening or perm treatment

blond and black hair

There is no better feeling than when you just left the salon with your hair straight, smooth and radiant.

I’ll tell you the truth, I don’t want to move because I’m afraid the curls threaten to come back again. But that doesn’t happen at all.

I have had smooth, shiny and straight hair as I always dreamed, of course, I noticed something very strange.

Something made my nose wrinkle.

And it was a nauseous smell, a smell of formaldehyde that made me almost dizzy.

At first I thought this smell would go away after the first day. But the smell still lingers.

After three days, it’s finally time for me to wash my hair. I feel like I’ve been invited to the Oscars.

I will finally get rid of the formaldehyde smell from my hair!

But nothing prepares me for what happens. I wash my hair with a citric shampoo, the smell of which reminds me of the fruit trees grown at my grandmother’s house.

I washed it not once, but twice. Also, I applied the same brand of conditioner.

But after rinsing it off, that unpleasant smell persisted.

At that moment, all the happiness I got from straightening my hair was wiped out by the stench of rotten fish.

So I decided that I had to go back to the root of the problem where the bad smell started in my hair.

Can you imagine what that is?

Exactly, I went back to the salon where I did the treatment.

And there, I found the answer I was looking for.

That’s why, if you are looking to do straightening or perming treatment, don’t stop reading what I am going to write below, as I will tell you:

  • Why, after straightening or curling hair, sometimes the smell of formaldehyde remains on the hair
  • How to Get Rid of Unpleasant Smell on Your Hair |

Why does a straightener treatment leave such a terrible smell in your hair?

As I told you before, I decided to go directly to the source to deodorize formaldehyde in my hair. Meaning, I went to see my stylist.

I should tell you that she treats me well, and she took the time to explain to me why my hair still smells bad after fifteen days and many washes.

I have pretty obvious curly hair, although I wouldn’t call them afro curly hair, but it’s pretty curly.

Since then, my stylist has been using formaldehyde at more than 2% concentration. The higher the percentage formaldehyde, the more unpleasant the product smells.

That means the bad smell is the price I have to pay for having my desired straight hair.

What made it clear to me after visiting my stylist was that the higher the concentration of formaldehyde applied to my hair to straighten my hair, the worse the smell.

Looking at this photo, I have only one question left: how do I get rid of the bad smell from my hair.

I can assure you that the answer my stylist gave me was unable to take my eyes off.

Do you want to know what she told me?

How to deodorize formaldehyde on hair

deodorize hair

Unfortunately, when a higher concentration is used for straightening the hair , the odor lasts longer, even up to three months.

Moreover, many times, using a flat iron or a hair dryer can intensify the smell of formaldehyde.

But, my hair stylist gave me some tips to make the stench less concentrated.

  • First, she advised me to use a dry shampoo , one with a strong smell that can mask the amount of formaldehyde.

Using dry shampoo has two advantages. First, it helps to hide the odors of the product used in the straightening process.

In addition, you let your hair be less exposed to water, which will prolong the effect of the straightening process.

Use between washings

Instead, I used the coldest water I could bear with the last rinse.

As you can see, the strong smell of formaldehyde disappears as the product disappears from the hair.

Nowadays, not all straightening or perm treatments leave such a strong smell on your hair. It only lasts when the formaldehyde ratio is high enough to get the effect you want.

Up to now, it has been about five months since my treatment, and I have noticed that gradually, the smell of nausea has subsided considerably.

As my grandmother said, every cloud has a silver lining. After all, I like to hide the unpleasant smell of formaldehyde in my hair but still have soft, shiny, straight hair.

Now you know how to mask the smell of formaldehyde after straightening.

Have you ever smelled an unpleasant smell after straightening your hair or curling it?

My hair smells bad when it’s wet: Is it moisture? Is there a solution?

hair has a bad smell

Does your hair smell bad when you get it wet? What’s more, does your hair continue to smell wet after you’ve dried it?

The same thing happened to me, and the truth was I felt awful.

I feel awfully embarrassed as if the smell of my hair was my fault.

It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve washed my hair. I have tried to change my shampoo, even every fifteen days.

I have tried all types of shampoos:

  • Citric shampoo
  • flower
  • Does not contain sulfate
  • vegan

This little problem turns into a big secret. I even cried alone in the bathroom to escape encounters with my friends and didn’t even let my best friend use my iron for fear that she would discover my secret. .

No matter what shampoo and conditioner I use , as soon as I shower, my hair smells.

Have you ever entered a closed room without any kind of ventilation for a long time? What did you smell?

Exactly a terrifying damp, stifling smell!

And that’s the smell of my hair.

A smell that I can feel even when I use half a liter of the best French perfume.

I was not the one who sat and cried because of the bad luck, so I decided to investigate it myself.

Do you know what I discovered?

That there are many reasons why your hair smells that wet and obviously, there’s no reason for you or me to be dirty and messy.

Therefore, if you want to find a solution to completely eliminate the wet odor on your hair, keep reading.

Because I will tell you:

  • Other possible reasons for your hair to smell wet
  • How to get rid of the bad smell on your hair
  • Other tips to prevent odors on your scalp

Why does your hair give off that wet smell

I have super thick, super thick hair. On the one hand, it’s a blessing, since I have strong hair.

But it’s also a curse. Do you know why?

Because thick hair takes a long time to dry , and I don’t like using a hairdryer because my hair is very curly.

I think that will be my problem. That’s because my hair hasn’t dried out completely, so it smells musty, just like what happens with clothes.

So I decided to attack it from that side. I bought a thermal protector and I started drying my hair with a dryer.

But unfortunately, my hair still smells bad.

So I have to continue to investigate. And I can assure you that the investigation has come to fruition.

Does your hair smell wet?

Then, take five minutes to honestly answer the following questions:

  • Is your hair greasy?
  • Does your scalp tend to feel itchy?
  • Do you have dandruff?
  • Are some areas of your scalp red?

If you answered yes to all of these questions, you have the same problem with me.

And this problem has a name: seborrheic dermatitis

And recently I learned about it!

Now I know the stench in hair comes from this disease that attacks the scalp, but is there any solution?

How do I get rid of the damp smell on my hair

Just as there are special antibiotics to treat pneumonia or allergic remedies, seborrheic dermatitis can be treated using specific products.

It helps to remove odors from your hair, whether it’s dry or wet.

And that solution also has a name: Neutrogena T / Gel Shampoo , whose active ingredient is coal tar, is formulated to treat dandruff, psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis.

The smell of the shampoo is quite medicinal and slightly earthy, but it’s a lot better than the smell of my hair before using it. I put it on my scalp when showering and following the instructions, I let it sit for a few minutes before washing it off.

After that, I continued to use T / Gel Conditioner, whose active ingredient is salicylic acid, which also helps fight dandruff. This product is special, I apply to the midsection and the ends of my hair.

When I get out of the bathroom, after using the two products for the first time, I feel like my hands can touch the sky.

I can’t smell a fragrance that isn’t a conditioner. There is no musty smell nor the smell of moisture. I even asked my sister, who noticed a stench in my hair before, to smell it and she couldn’t smell anything either!

I have been using both shampoo and conditioner for just about two months.

And I keep getting the same results.

By the third month, I changed the conditioner to some of my deep moisturizing masks, but I continued to use shampoo. And thank God, my hair smells amazing.

Also, my dandruff has started to disappear; it is almost non-existent and I don’t feel itchy scalp.

I was amazed to be able to enjoy such an accessible solution that gave me immediate results!

Now that you know how to deal with the problem of wet hair smell in your hair, I will tell you some tips to prevent odors.

Other techniques to prevent odors in your hair

In addition to using the products I mentioned earlier, when I showered, I also discovered that there are several things you can use to prevent damp odors.

  • For example, applying a few drops of peppermint oil before drying your hair helps prevent the formation of mold spores in your hair.

Essential oils have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. After spraying your scalp and hair, you dry your hair completely, alternating the temperature of the dryer between cold and hot to better measure how dry your hair is.

  • Is your head sweaty?

This can also cause a bad smell on your hair. I recommend washing your hair more often and one last time with apple cider vinegar to let your hair soak in for at least fifteen minutes.

Apply apple cider vinegar at least once a week to your hair.

Thanks to these steps, I am able to control the terrifying wet smell in my hair.

And that means I can reconcile my hair and my life. The smile is back on my face and I’m not afraid if someone gets close to my head or hair.

If, after following this advice to combat the damp smell in your hair, you feel the problem persists, it may be time to consult a dermatologist.
